Leon Brown Triumphant again at the 4th Major - Old Fold Manor Golf Club

From last to first Leon brown joins an elite group of back to back winners at Old fold manor.

On a day with perfect playing conditions, the groups lined up to take on the OFM but where was Mr Brown?? His name was not on the start sheet and a number of people no doubt saw their chance to claim their first major of the season.

The first group and only a 3 ball head to the tee and line up ready to go, there is a shout in the distance, but who could it be, it’s the winner of the last major Leon Brown with no time to settle or warm up, he joined the first group and is ready to go. Playing off his new HCP he shoots a decent 32pts which puts him in joint 4th behind the joint leaders on 34pts. With the course tight, the greens fast and firm and difficult to get your ball to hold, can he maintain his good form and secure and back to back win?

In his group is Chris Thomas also on 32pts this will be a battle royal with the potential winner of the group being in a strong position to take the day, the second round goes pretty well for the both of them but on one of the challenging holes it looks like Leon may have lost his ball, Chris then declares that if you find your ball you will win the day, so said so done. This now relegates Mr Randy Plowright to the bridesmaid’s position to Mr Brown for the second major in a row and elevates Mr Brown to the top of the order of merit.
