Handicaps will only be adjusted based on a completed round(s) of 18 holes.

Where ACGA competitions are contested over 27 holes, handicaps should only be adjusted based on the best 2 scores from each of the nine holes completed.

Adjustments will only be made after an event has been completed and new handicaps will apply immediately the results are published.

Further adjustments of member’s handicaps under provision of ‘Rule 19’ shall be applied at the discretion of the ACGA Committee, who will not be duty bound to explain its reason(s) for such adjustments.

ACGA Members who are members of a golf club and hold a recognised handicap are required to inform the ACGA and, if requested provide evidence thereof.

All notable scores obtained at another course or competition including playing with other golfing societies, must be brought to the attention of the ACGA Handicap Secretary.

ACGA members found playing an ACGA event, with a handicap greater than his or her club handicap, will be subject to competition disqualification and further disciplinary action may be taken at the discretion of the Committee.

It is the responsibility of Members to ensure that they are playing to the most recently published handicaps.  If Members are in any doubt, or have queries on their ACGA handicap, they should contact the ACGA Handicap Secretary in writing.
